Course Description

Course Objective: You will use color management techniques and color correct images to ensure optimal print output.

Target Student: This course is intended for photo professionals or enthusiasts who have a basic foundation of Adobe® Photoshop® CS5 and are interested in using Photoshop for printing and color correction. This course covers the Adobe Certified Associate exam objectives, and is intended to help students prepare for the examination.

Prerequisites: To ensure your success in this course, it is recommended that you first take the following Element K course: Adobe® Photoshop® CS5: Level 1 - ACA, or have equivalent knowledge.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

understand the various color modes and workflow.
calibrate a monitor and use color management profiles to control image display.
use the advanced image support features available in Photoshop CS5.
combine images.
enhance the quality of images.
adjust RGB colors to perform color correction for images.
create high quality CMYK separations for commercial printing.
convert color images to grayscale and add spot colors to them.
