Course Description

Course Objective: You will identify the basic concepts in finance, budgeting, and costs.

Target Student: This course will benefit new IT managers and other IT professionals without prior financial expertise who as a part of their job will be required to understand financial budgeting and project costing for the purposes of creating IT budgets and cost control measures.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisite skills for this course.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• identify the fundamental concepts in budgeting.
• identify the various cost estimating techniques and the methods of controlling costs.
• evaluate certain financial statements and concepts of project appraisal.
