Overview
For some, the prospect of having to deliver a presentation is an opportunity to shine. For others, it causes sleepless nights and seemingly endless worry. Yet the ability to present ideas, seek input and support and influence others is critical to both business and career success.
The Presentation Lab is a small group workshop to provide guidance for those challenged by having to present. Participants learn how to develop a presentation that puts emphasis on the key points and actively seeks audience participation and input.
We review current stand up delivery skills and analyse where opportunities for improvement exist. Special attention is paid to preparation and rehearsal, including exploring opportunities for `dress rehearsal`` for significant presentation. The workshop can be delivered in two consecutive days or with one or two weeks separating the sessions to allow for practice.
Topics included in this workshop:
- Getting to know you
- The Current State
- The nature of presentations you`re asked to do
- Defining your message
- What the audience expects to hear
- Crafting your message
- The Communications Model
- Dealing with nerves
- Handling questions
- The Zen of Presenting
Notes; this workshop can be delivered privately if requested.
